Belgian contemporary Artist

Born in Belgium, Tielt, in 1966.
I live and work in Gent, Belgium.
Graduated as Master in Art History, Ghent University. Additionally I studied for 2 years Textile Design at KASK, Gent.
I attend to explore the field between the infinite and the transitory, between the dynamic and the static. I want to show the ephemeral, the energy, the fragility and the poetic side of life, to reveal the part of spiritual in the daily reality.

Paintings – Photography – Textile

I am inspired by nature and by my own imagination. I often work with photography where themes such as light, colour and emotions are important. The tactility and the textures of textile is also something I try to integrate into my work.

Intuïtive art

My way of working is characterised by an intuitive process. It is an attempt to give a view of my inner experience focused on impressions, subtle emotions and feelings, not always connected to the visual reality. A counterweight to the complex, chaotic and pervasive way I perceive today’s world.
